Boxer - Medium - Young - Female - Dog - Chloe
Description
UPDATE: May 5, 2009 Chloe's recent pictures have been added. She is now weighing in at 44lbs and looking very beautiful. She is free from demodex and waiting to be adopted. UPDATE: April 26, 2009 Chloe has completely healed from her demodectic mange. He has put on weight and is looking wonderful. I will post pictures soon. She is as wiggly and happy as ever and is ready for her forever home. Chloe is crate trained, house broken, good with other dogs. She seems fine around cats but her enthusiasm might be too much for some kitties. She is good with children but I will reframe from adopting her into a home with small children as again, her enthusiasm would be too much. Older children are fine. Chloe is such a sweet loving girl and her excitement for life never fades. UDATE: January 25, 2009 I am still battling demodex but as you can see I have come along way. I am such a sweet girl, I love everyone and everything including kiddies and kittens. My foster family (consisting of mom, dad, two human sisters ages 8 and 10 and two furry cousins Gil and Grace) says that am just so sweet and lovable. They had to bring me back to Auntie Kim's for a little medical care but I will be going back there as soon as I am medically ready. I like it at Auntie Kim's though, I lay on the couch with her and play with my furry cousins here, Roxie and Happy and Scout. I sure like to wear my clothes. I hate to be cold, so I am always ready to dress up in a moments notice. Well, that's if I am not already wearing something. I am not available for adoption yet but if you are interested in adopting me, please e-mail for an application: tomorrowshopek9@roadrunner.com UPDATE: Chloe is in foster care and doing very well. She is currently living with a couple, their 2 girls (8 and 10) and two other dogs. Chloe's foster mom says she is such a free spirit and a very quick learner. She gets along well with everyone and is such a little love bug. Chloe is house broken and is doing wonderfully learning her house manners. Chloe is still pending availability because her demodex is still flaring and we are working hard with the vet to get this cleared up. Chloe was rescued by a good Samaritan who like so many of us has no room to keep her. She contacted our rescue in hopes of finding some help for her. Our foster homes are full as well. But Chloe needed some immediate medical attention. She was taken to the vet for the sores on her side and it was discovered that she has demodectic mange. This is a non-contagious form of mange that is caused by a problem with her immune system, she was emaciated, and had intestinal worms. Chloe is being treated for all those things. She is scheduled to be spayed and continue with her vaccination schedule in the next couple of weeks. She is currently living tied to a chain, in a small dog house. Chloe needs a home or rescue to help her desperately. All her medication is provided for treating her demodex and all her vetting is sponsored for any interested and approved rescue. A foster home would also be welcome. Chloe will be spayed and fully vetted before being adopted. She is a really sweet, wiggly love bug that is good with dogs and cats. She is heartworm negative.
