Hound - Medium - Young - Male - Dog - RUPERT

Rubert is about a year old and the kindest dog that you will ever meet. He didn't have much of a puppy hood.... was left alone quite a bit and wasn't sure what to do with himself. He was a bit shy at first, but now he has gained some confidence and is showing lots of personality. Typical of a hound, he is goofy and comical....Gomer and Goober all in the same handsome package. He is wonderful in the house, knows basic commands and walks like a gentleman on a leash. He is very social with the other dogs and very gentle with the smaller pups. Rubert is a small fella, only weighing about 35lbs...perfect size for any active family...won't take up too much room in the car or van...and appreciates fishing, hiking and camping. . He is great with kids and other dogs and will be a wonderful and loyal family friend. he LOVES running and playing outside, and equally enjoys a warm comfy bed inside at night. He is seeking a situation where he will get lots of exercise and mental stimualtion....and not so much 'alone time' We are located in McArthur, Ohio 45651 (if you would like to mapquest us) I AM sorry but we do not ship pups..just too stressful on the wee ones.We truly appreciate your consideration of a Rescue dog...they are the BEST you know.Adoption fees are generally $150 but we have many exceptions, such as our 11th hour rescues that we take in from pounds and will be placed for a free will donation. We seem to be able to help more dogs this way. An adoption contract is still a must, which insures that the pup can always come back here if it isn't a match and that the pet will be spayed/neutered.Each pet comes with several training DVD's and a Pedigree puppy pack + a lifetime of Free and Unlimited Kisses and HUGSIf you are unable to adopt a pet at the moment, but would like to sponsor him(because he is soooo cute), a $20 donation will feed and treat this kid for a month.
