He would probally be protective of someone he loves. Cooter was abandoned at a camp ground and just wandered around bumming off anyone that had food . He is very friendly and seems like he would be okay with other dogs. He does bark alot at the cats so he probally wouldn't be to good with them. He hasn't been around kids so I'm not sure about.Cooters adoption fee is $150
